We do two things in our laboratory: we make discoveries and we make scientists. At the core of this mission are the lab members who are always becoming better scientists and who work tirelessly to discover new knowledge. Everyone in the lab also contributes to our outreach efforts which are focused on sharing the knowledge and excitement of our research as well as increasing scientific literacy in the community.

Helen Vu, B.S. Currently a Pharm.D. student in the OU School of Pharmacy. Helen was the very first student to work in our laboratory. Helen was involved at so many levels of the laboratory's operations, from unpacking the first boxes of equipment to successfully cloning and sequencing our first ion channel gene fragment. She quite literally helped to build the lab. |
